We’re all !equal

Today I’ve found funny picture where present president of USA Barrack Obama says (my own translation):
“In the moment of such tragedy and such pain we all are Polish”
Although I know what he meant, comment under the picture is still quite funny. Here is what it says:
“We’re all Polish… but not all have visas”
It’s old subject about Poland having big problem with US visas. I understand my nationals as US has no-visas traffic with smaller countries which sent a lot less army to help the US forces fight with terror. It reminds me words of one Bloodhound Gang’s song “We’re all equal unless you’re Canadian (Polish)”:)
Boston was Silicon Valley in the past
TechCrunch published interesting article about Boston’s Route 128 and why it lost with Silicon Valley, more here. I haven’t heard about it before. If I had then I would definitively tried to see this when I was there. It’s maybe not so surprising as MIT is there, so it’s normal that many of these bright people would want to stay there, but still. Second Silicon Valley, well how would you know:)
Kosciusko and a beer
I’ve found set of old Budweiser advertising posters and among them was this one:

If you don’t know who was Kosciusko ask Wikipedia
Well, it’s a little shame that Polish hero was used for advertising such beer as Bud. I’m talking about American Budweiser which is not drinkable, not Czech one which is very good. America has definitively got good beers, but Bud is not one of them.
Superheroes are so cool

I’m speachless
I’ve seen the last lecture of Randy Pausch “Achieving Your Childhood Dreams”. And only one thing I can say right now is wow. This guy was amazing (was, because unfortunately he died on 26th of July this year, RIP). I wish I had such professor when I was at university doing my MA. He was quite a guy, with power and energy, and he was very good with people I believe. I was crying at the end of his lecture. It’s worth to spent 1.5 hour, believe me, I’m putting my word on it. Please spare your time, watch it and try to learn something from it. Trust me you need it.
I’m happy that I had an opportunity to watch it and sad that such great man has passed away.
Peter the discoverer of the Czech cuisine
Some time ago I’ve mentioned that I’m going to start writing posts about Czech cuisine. Well, I didn’t forgot about it. But there is someone who is already doing that and is doing it good. So there is no place for me I believe:(
Check this amazing blog of American guy who lives in Prague and is writing about food (not only Czech):
Czech Please
American Women
Joke of the day:)
Typical American Woman has dimension like 90-60-90 (perfect European), but Americans are using inches instead of centimeters:P
Sorry, it’s rude I know, but I couldn’t resit it.
Science Fiction in USA
I think somebody in US government has lost his mind. The new idea to improve the security in air traffic is to give every passenger Safety Bracelet. It would have built-in GPS (and also a chip with personal information about passenger) and some kind of teaser which would shock him with electricity when he would step out the line. I think it’s crazy and somebody who invented it should be prisoned. If you want to see how this bracelet looks like then here you go:

The original article about it is here “Want some torture with your peanuts?“. When I’ve read this it reminded me some old movie with Rutger Hauer. It was about prisoners in the futuristic jail which has no bars or walls. All prisoners had a special collars on their necks and when somebody tried to escape collar exploded. Maybe it would be next step. Movie was called “Wedlock” if somebody wants to watch it.
